USC professor Dr. Christian Chun discusses the ways in which cultural assumptions and political agendas shape the language used in historical and political discourse. He conducts exercises in "reading against the text" to penetrate these agendas and see the real motives beneath. This talk took place at the People's Collective University at the Occupy LA encampment on Nov. 19th, 2011.
